We've been told on the phone by the museum that it is closed Saturdays? And our tour guide told us it is closed on the public holiday (1st May)? We are really confused, someone please help! Thank you

You can stay in Funchal or in the outskirts of Funchal. The local buses and the tour buses are very good.
