Located in picturesque Forest Hills in Kloof, Nkutu River Lodge (previously Hot Buttered Toast) offers views over the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve on the banks of the Nkutu River. It offers comfortable self-catering accommodation and excellent views. The accommodations include a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor with a large balcony and two deluxe suites in a new building with a big balcony to take in the view of the natural bush garden. These apartments are linked to accommodate a small family. All the rooms are modern, well-designed and well-equipped. Free WiFi and private parking are available. The Nkutu Picnic Site is 850m away, the Waterfall Shopping Centre is a 4-minute drive and PheZulu Safari Park can be reached within 25 minutes' drive. The King Shaka International Airport is located 30 km away.
The apartment was large and spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen well stocked and their was a braai on the patio (we did not use). Really felt like a wonderfully thought through apartmentā¦
Only one minor comment would be good to be slightly better signing as drove passed twice, and a bell to advise of arrival, as not all foreign travellers have mobile data/ phone.
The location was easy to get to and the view was breathtaking over the nature reserve. Having the covered patio area really made the difference as we could unwind and take in the view when we were ...
Wifi connection was abit slow and as we didn't have international roaming enabled (too expensive), we relied on having a strong wifi signal (best place in the flat to get signal was the bedroom!)
