For the private guided tours, what do the guides do when you’re at meals/experiences? We like the idea of being driven around but would still definitely want alone time

This was a small group tour. We were allowed alone time to explore and for most meals. The last few nights of the tour we had supper together as a group.
What are the self driving road conditions in mid-March, are the roads cleared, or icy and snowy? We've driven in the winter before but it's been a while. Thinking of a 8-10 day self drive around the ring circle road. Or would you recommend a small group tour instead, smaller the better? And how would we get the covid test on the tour 72 hours in advance of our flight back to USA? Thanks...

If you travel with Nordic Visitor you will have your own rental car, lodging and custom guide books &maps. Your route will be planned out so that you will not miss the best sights in whatever areas you chose to visit. Your Covid test will be taken care of also...all you need to do is get yourself to the facility. Nordic Visitor makes it all so easy. I do not recommend traveling to Iceland in March. The only times without wind, excessive rain and ice are the summer months. Even May is dicey!
