Modestly signed from London Road, the entrance is wide with some turn-offs from there. Continue on to a single track road, where you may have to wait for oncoming traffic to clear. Not a big deal. …Full review by JANET B

There is a walk from the town centre over at the side of the canal and across Pride Park at the side of the river straight into Alvaston Park. It take roughly half an hour.
