Utah’s senior Senator, Mike Lee took to X over the weekend to comment on the killings of a Minnesota state senator and her husband and the shootings of two other state lawmakers, saying, “this is what happens when Marxists don’t get their way” accompanied by a picture of the suspect,

The suspect, 57-year-old Vance Boelter, was arrested late Sunday following a nearly two-day statewide search. The Saturday morning shootings left State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, dead, and wounded State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette.

Lee on Sunday took to X and posted a photo of a man accused of posing as a police officer and shooting two Democratic lawmakers and their spouses. Along with the image, Lee confusingly wrote, "This is what happens When Marxists don’t get their way.

Boelter allegedly killed Democratic state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband and allegedly shot and wounded state Senator John Hoffman and his wife on Saturday. Police later found a target list featuring the names of dozens of Democrats and abortion providers. Boelter is still at large.
