The 78th Tony Awards will air Sunday night on CBS. This year's event is hosted by Cynthia Erivo, best known for playing Elphaba in the movie version of Wicked.

The proper ceremony will begin at at 8 p.m. ET, with Cynthia Erivo hosting. The “Wicked” star takes over as emcee from Ariana DeBose, who hosted the past three shows. Erivo is a former Tony winner herself, having captured the best actress in a musical prize in 2016 for her turn in the Broadway revival of “The Color Purple.

The award show is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. Those without cable can watch the show for free through FuboTV, DirecTV Stream or Paramount+. Each service offers a free trial to new users. Sling is another option for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.
