A pickup truck has crashed into a van carrying members of an Amish group in rural Michigan, killing at least six people.

The Amish community in Michigan is in mourning after seven died on the same day in two separate crashes 86 miles apart in the central part of the state.

The Amish typically rely on horse-drawn buggies for transportation and do not operate their own cars or trucks but will ride in vehicles driven by people who are not Amish.
