Selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Burns intercepted a career-high three passes during his rookie season with Pittsburgh. He made a key fumble recovery during a 18-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round (which remains the Steelers' most recent playoff win).

The Dolphins re-signed cornerback Cornell Armstrong, who last played for them in 2018. Armstrong has appeared in 40 career NFL games, having also played for Houston and Atlanta. He has 43 tackles and seven passes defensed. Last season, he was on Las Vegas’ practice squad.

July 24 - Artie Burns is done for the season one practice into his tenure with the Miami Dolphins. Burns, 30, left Wednesday's practice on crutches with a knee injury suffered in individual drills. Multiple outlets reported Thursday that Burns has a torn ACL.
