Prime Video is not proceeding with a second season of Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino’s ballet drama series, Deadline has learned. The streamer and Amazon MGM Studios will continue to support the series’ Emmy campaign in the comedy categories.

And so, eight episodes of Étoile is all we’re getting. The series followed two prominent ballet companies (one in New York, the other in Paris) who swap their performers in the interest of drumming up ticket sales in a post-COVID world.
