The NASA astronauts have been in the news (and in everyone's thoughts) since a problem with a Boeing Starliner craft extended their mission to the International Space Station by many months. They were supposed to return to Earth in mid-June after just 8 days in space,

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore finally returned to Earth on Tuesday evening after spending an unexpected nine extra months aboard the International Space Station — and were greeted by dolphins when their capsule splashed down.

A pod of dolphins joined the welcome crew March 18, 2025, splashing around the SpaceX capsule as a team worked to remove the capsule from the gulf.
