On Sunday, the office of Gov. Gavin Newsom of California sent a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth objecting to the deployment of National Guard troops to Los Angeles.
The Trump administration said it would send 2,000 National Guard troops into Los Angeles after a second day in which protesters confronted immigration agents during raids of local businesses.
The Oklahoma National Guard is not planning on participating in the nation’s largest military parade. The June 14 parade will feature tanks rolling through the U.S. capital’s streets, thousands of soldiers marching and military fly overs to celebrate the Army’s 250th birthday.
