According to China's Cyberspace Administration, Nvidia met with Beijing officials on Thursday regarding potential national security risks posed by its H20 graphics processing units. Washington this month allowed Nvidia to resume sales of its H20 AI chips to China,

The Chinese government announced Thursday it met with Nvidia in regard to potential security risks in an AI chip it developed for sale in China.

The US lifted its April ban on Nvidia’s H20 chip sales to China earlier this month. Following the reversal, both Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. quickly resumed operations in the Chinese market, reclaiming their positions as leading AI chip suppliers to the country.
