The "No Kings" Chicago protest Saturday in Daley Plaza is one of the anchor events for a national anti-Trump movement. It is one of more than 1,800 protests being held nationwide in response to the Trump military parade.

Thursday's protest was arranged by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and other organizations. Several hundred people marched from Congress Plaza to Trump Tower.

Thousands of protesters marched in Chicago against Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in their city and President Trump’s deployment of troops in Los Angeles.

The Chicago No Kings rally comes as protests have ramped up against ICE and the Trump administration this week locally and in Los Angeles, where the National Guard and Marines have been deployed against the wishes of local leaders.

Similar protests are set to kick off in more than 1,000 cities across the country on Saturday. The rallies are intended to counter the military parade President Donald Trump has planned to mark the U.

Chicago is an anchor city for the "No Kings" protests Saturday, and city officials said they are prepared for the crowds expected.
