HOUGHTON, MI - Two people who died at Isle Royale National Park last weekend have been identified. The National Park Service said Thursday afternoon that the deceased campers have been identified and their families have been notified. However, their names, ages and where they’re from were not released.

The deaths of two people at Isle Royale National Park are under investigation after their bodies were found Monday at a remote backcountry campground.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Detroit confirmed June 11 that federal officials were at the Isle Royale National Park, following the death of two campers at the remote campground.
