More than 25 years after Jeff Gordon earned his second Daytona 500 win in 1999, he sat inside the media center at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, preparing to take questions.

William Byron beat a Jeff Gordon record Sunday. He also helped Hendrick Motorsports break a tie for first place in Daytona 500 wins.

Owen Larson called it when he said his dad wouldn’t win the Daytona 500 because “he probably needs to try really hard because he’s not good at superspeedway racing.”
