Metal Gear Solid publisher Konami is back with a bang, and to prove it, it hosted a livestream showcase on June 12 called Konami Press Start Live. Here's everything announced.

According to Yu Sahara, director of the multiplayer aspect, “Fox Hunt is a completely original online multiplayer mode. Although it shares the same world with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the gameplay is completely different.

The Ape Escape franchise is owned by Sony, meaning Konami couldn’t secure rights to include the mode on Xbox. Instead, Bomberman —a Konami-owned IP —, was chosen as a replacement, ensuring Xbox players still get a fun bonus mode.

Konami also confirmed that while the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will feature the “Snake vs. Monkey” minigame with characters from Ape Escape, the Xbox Series version will feature the “Snake vs. Bomberman” minigame.

Snake Eater is aiming to please as many franchise fans as possible, and Fox Hunt is targeting the Metal Gear Online fans.
