Kyle Teel has been promoted by the Chicago White Sox. The 23-year-old catcher, one of baseball's top prospects, singled, walked twice and scored in a 7-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals in his major league debut.

In a heartwarming clip posted by the White Sox, Teel called his parents to tell them the good news. He first called his mom, asking her if she had any plans, and — when she said no — telling her she needed to book a flight to Chicago.

The Chicago White Sox have called up another one of their top prospects, catcher Kyle Teel. To make room, they've sent down another young catcher to AAA Charlotte, Korey Lee. Teel will start behind the plate while batting sixth on Friday night in his Major League Baseball debut against the Kansas City Royals.
