Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, will face the Columbus Crew in an MLS game on Saturday, April 19, 2025 (3/19/25) at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

When Messi joined the Herons in July 2023, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner signed a two and a half year contract that is set to expire at the end of the year. Messi and Inter Miami did not come to a new agreement before the start of the 2025 MLS season, but they are now close to inking a new deal.

The 37-year-old Messi, who arrived at Inter Miami in July 2023, will see his current contract expire at the end of this year. The team has been working hard to extend his time in South Florida in an effort to have Messi lead the club into their new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, next season.
