By Nick Mulvenney SYDNEY (Reuters) -Rugby Australia chief Phil Waugh was disappointed the Wallabies lost the test series against the British & Irish Lions but believes the tour was a huge success and talk that the tourists might not return in 2037 was well wide of the mark.

Ben Calveley, the British and Irish Lions chief executive, is adamant that the touring side will be returning to Australia while adding that Andy Farrell is in a “very strong position” to retain his role as head coach.

The 32-year-old, who travelled an unconventional path to the international stage, captained his country at the 2023 Rugby World Cup following an injury to Will Skelton.
