Hundreds of Ukrainian kamikaze drones have flown towards Moscow in recent weeks. None appear to have even reached the Russian capital, yet the effect on the city — and the wider country — has been hugely significant.

Russia and Ukraine have deployed drones against one another on a near daily basis since the war began. Since yesterday evening, “air defence systems destroyed and intercepted 112 Ukrainian drones”, including 24 that were headed toward the capital, the ministry said.
