According to former FBI supervisory special agent, the 10 violent criminals who escaped from a New Orleans jail last Friday likely had help on the inside.

In an announcement on the FBI's website, the agency stated: "At the request of the New Orleans Police Department, FBI New Orleans has surged resources to assist with apprehending inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish Jail on May 16, 2025.

Last Friday, 10 inmates in a New Orleans prison made a bold escape with seven still on the run. The FBI is doubling their reward for their capture.

Of those seven, five are accused of the most serious crimes, one of them convicted. Mike McDaniel breaks down their criminal file.
