A day of celebration ended with two teens being stabbed, and one man shot near Dupont Circle Saturday evening amid Pride events.

In a reversal, the National Park Service removed fencing around Dupont Circle Park and opened it to the public. Before sundown, two people were stabbed and one was shot.

City authorities canceled an initial request to block off the site, an L.G.B.T.Q. gathering spot in Washington, D.C. But the National Park Service opted to close it.
