Sacramento police are investigating a homicide after officers found a man dead Wednesday morning in the city’s Old North Sacramento corridor. Officers responded just before 8:15 a.m. to the 700 block of Dixieanne Avenue, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Officer Anthony Gamble, a Police Department spokesman.

One person has died after a late-night shooting in a south Sacramento neighborhood that left another person hurt, authorities say.

One person is dead and another is injured following a shooting in Sacramento Sunday night, the Sacramento Police Department said.
