The San Antonio Food Bank confirmed impacts after $1 billion in cuts to the USDA's Food for Schools and LFPA programs.

In another hit to Texas farmers, the USDA has eliminated $2 billion worth of programs that helped food banks and schools buy fresh food from farms and ranches.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced it’s ending the pandemic-era Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA), which provided money to buy from local farms and producers.
