In addition to the warmth, severe storms will be possible overnight  Saturday night, Sunday night and Monday afternoon and evening. It was a hot and humid Saturday. Highs reached into the low 90s with a heat index hitting 100°.

These will likely become isolated thunderstorms before more scattered and organized storms move in during the late afternoon and evening. A Level 2 “Slight” risk for severe weather includes the entirety of Middle Georgia with the primary threat being strong winds. Hail or a brief tornado cannot be ruled out, however.

The NWS Fort Worth TX issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday in effect until 1:15 a.m. The warning is for Collin, Fannin and Hunt counties.
