During 7on7’s, Rattler was perfect. The ball didn’t touch the ground at all as he went 8/8. His best throws came on back-to-back plays. His first was a dig route to Chris Olave over the middle, then followed that with a seam route to Michael Jacobsen. In both throws, Rattler looked clean and decisive.
Six NFL starts isn't much experience for a quarterback, but it gives Spencer Rattler the most of any player competing for that job in New Orleans this offseason Derek Carr's injuries gave Rattler a chance to play in his rookie season and Carr's retirement left the second-year player as the most experienced signal caller for the Saints.
The New Orleans Saints have been tabbed as a potential landing spot for former No. 2 overall pick, Carson Wentz. The former Philadelphia Eagles starter has bounced around a bit since his five-year stint in Philly ended in 2020, and he's still yet to be signed after his contract with the Kansas City Chiefs expired at the end of last year.
