Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for “Until Dawn,” the live-action adaptation of the popular 2015 PlayStation horror game. Developed by Supermassive Games, the “Until Dawn” video game follows a group of eight unsuspecting teenagers who convene in a remote cabin a year after two of their friends went missing.

Sony has released the first trailer for the Until Dawn movie adaptation which reveals a smart twist to the horror game. The PlayStation title allows players to take control of eight characters at a remote mountain retreat, with fans able to change the story through certain choices, while all characters can die or survive based on those choices.

Sony and PlayStation Productions have now uploaded a full Until Dawn movie trailer after the promising first look video earlier this week proved a fair bit better than expected. Now with two and a half minutes of footage,

Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation, Lights Out) and writer/producer Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle series, The Nun series) to translate Until Dawn to the big screen. In making that transition, we wanted to honor the spirit of the Until Dawn game – especially the idea of decisions with branching paths and deadly consequences – while adapting it in a way that maximizes both the entertainment and terror for moviegoers.
