Archaeologists discovered the tomb of an unknown pharaoh from a tumultuous, war-ridden era of ancient Egypt. Now they're searching for his name.

The discovery of the tomb seven meters (23 feet) underground at the ancient necropolis of Anubis Mountain was announced by University of Pennsylvania Museum and Egyptian archaeologists.

Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of an unknown ancient Egyptian pharaoh near Abydos, a historic city in Egypt. The limestone burial chamber, about 23 feet underground, dates back around 3,600 years to a period of unrest known as the Second Intermediate Period.
