AUSTRALIA’S biggest cable TV provider has unveiled a bold plan to cut cable from its latest entertainment device, making the switch to an internet connection alone.

Foxtel's new internet pay-TV service has gone live, sidestepping the need for users to have a cable or satellite connection. Foxtel launches internet pay TV service.

Foxtel broadband customers will also get the Foxtel Hub, a Foxtel-branded Wi-Fi modem. The Hub is supplied by Netgear and is based on the company's Dual-WAN VDSL/NBN ready gateway, the VEGN2610.
