Carlos Alcaraz has just won the Cincinnati Open title after Jannik Sinner retired hurt in the final. It was Alcaraz's sixth title of the current year.
Carlos Alcaraz created history after winning the 2025 Cincinnati Open, following a victory over arch-rival and world no.1 Jannik Sinner in the final by a 5-0 (retired hurt) margin. The Spaniard won the trophy for the first time in his career and secured his eighth ATP Masters 1000 titles.
Both Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz lifted the Cincinnati Masters title for the first time in their respective careers. Swiatek beat Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, but Alcaraz received a walkover from arch-rival Jannik Sinner as the first seed was ill.
