MILAN, Italy (Reuters) -Defending champions Inter Milan secured a 2-1 home win against Udinese in Serie A on Sunday with first-half goals from Marko Arnautovic and Davide Frattesi as goalkeeper Yann Sommer made some important late saves.

ROME — Goalkeeper Yann Sommer made two clutch saves and Inter Milan made sure of maintaining its Serie A lead with a 2-1 win over visiting Udinese on Sunday. Marko Arnautovic took advantage of a rare start at center forward, opening the scoring early in the first half by redirecting in a cross from Federico Dimarco with one touch.

Inter moved six points clear at the top of Serie A, for at least a few hours, with a 2-1 win over Udinese at the San Siro. Inter dominated possession throughout but were held to very few clear openings on goal. However, they struck with two of them in the opening 21 minutes to put clear daylight between themselves and Udinese.
