After the Mavs traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, several key players suffered injuries. Among them was Kyrie Irving, who went down with a torn ACL. Anthony Davis, the marquee player they got in the Doncic trade, also missed significant time due to his groin and left adductor injuries.

Klay Thompson helped lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 120-106 victory over the Sacramento Kings. Thompson had one of his best games of the season, finishing with 23 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block while shooting 8/11 from the field and 5/7 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.
