The hire aligns with Harbaugh’s vision for a more physical and adaptable defense in 2025. With Fuller’s extensive knowledge of the defensive side of the ball, the Chargers are hoping he can take their defense to the next level as he has done many times before.

As first reported by Joe Person of The Athletic, the team is planning on hiring former Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Renaldo Hill to their defensive coaching staff. This follows an earlier report, first noted by Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, that the Panthers are also adding AC Carter as their new outside linebackers coach.
