The Michigan men’s and women’s basketball teams learned the dates for their Big Ten games on Thursday. This is the first season with 18 members, as Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington joined from the Pac-12.

Among other notable matchups, the Michigan men will play reigning Big Ten regular-season champion Purdue, which returns three starters from last year’s national runner-up team, at Mackey Arena on Friday, Jan. 24 and at Crisler Center on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The Michigan State men will face Purdue once — at home on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Michigan basketball is set to embark upon a new era with Dusty May at the helm and a bevy of transfers with hopes that it can win right away. And in a new-look Big Ten, that also means some new teams on the schedule.
