Arsenal completed a dream comeback against Real Madrid in the second leg of their Women’s Champions League quarter-final to win 3-2 on aggregate and progress to the semi-finals for the eighth time in their history.

As they had done in the first leg, Real Madrid looked dangerous on the counter-attack and Arsenal goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar had to be alert to keep out Filippa Angeldahl’s long-range strike to prevent her side from having even more of an uphill battle.
