The center of the storm is expected to travel well to our south, and it's taking what we call a flat track, moving from west to east. A classic Maine snowstorm travels northeast into the Gulf of Maine and Bay of Fundy. This one will travel farther south.

A storm that brought heavy snowfall early Thursday afternoon is the latest in a string of winter storms to impact Maine.

This week, various states from the Midwest to the Northeast are bracing for snow and ice storms, including New Hampshire. On Thursday, Feb. 6, the state is expected to see a wintry mix, starting with heavy snow throughout the day before turning into freezing rain in the late afternoon.
