The U.S. military has created a second military zone along the border with Mexico, adding an area in Texas where troops can temporarily detain migrants or trespassers after doing the same in New Mexico.

Troops in the newly designated area in Texas will be able to temporarily detain migrants as the Trump administration militarizes the boundary with Mexico.

The new military zone has been designated as the “Texas National Defense Area," by the Trump administration as they continue their crackdown against migrants
