Mississippi freshman defensive lineman Corey Adams, a three-star recruit from New Orleans, was shot and killed Saturday night near Memphis, Tenn. He was 18.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is holding a press conference at 3 p.m. Monday at the SCSO Training Academy about the Cordova shooting on July 19.

"While our program is trying to cope with this tragic loss, our thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time," the team said.
