RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Dangerous heat is returning to Central NC this weekend, marking the fourth heat wave of the year. It's expected to last through at least the middle of next week. With high temperatures in the 90s and near 100, combined with high humidity, the heat index could reach a dangerous 105 to 115 degrees.
On Wednesday at 1:41 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an extreme heat watch valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Eastern Montgomery and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
Raleigh faces a Heat Advisory with heat index values up to 108, and an Extreme Heat Watch warning of values up to 112.
