Northwestern University has vowed to continue funding the research programs endangered by President Trump's federal funding freeze threats.

The school's president plans to keep funding now-frozen research but details on how the school's will do so remain unclear.

From its earliest days in 1906, when the University of California secured a small stretch of fertile soil in the state's Central Valley, a quiet promise took root - that this place, originally called University Farm,
