President Trump is removing Hunter Biden whistleblower Gary Shapley from his role as acting IRS commissioner only days after he was appointed, amid a feud between Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and billionaire Elon Musk.

Gary Shapley — who became famous after speaking out about alleged political influence in the Hunter Biden tax probe — is out as IRS director after just two days, following an internal struggle involving Elon Musk.

Gary Shapley, who testified to Congress as Republicans reviewed the business dealings of Hunter Biden, will be replaced by Deputy Treasury Secretary Michael Faulkender.
