Jason Pulman struggled with mental health problems as well as his gender identity, regularly self-harmed and abused drink and drugs in the run-up to his death, mother Emily told an inquest.

Jason Pulman, 15, was found dead in Hampden Park in Eastbourne, East Sussex, on 19 April 2022, after telling a friend he was going to kill himself that night.

During the inquest, jurors heard how Mark and Emily Pulman last saw Jason on April 18 at 7.30pm, and when going to wake him up in the morning found his door tied shut and his bedroom window open.
