The Philadelphia Phillies made history Monday night with a walk-off win via a catcher's interference against the Boston Red Sox, becoming the first team to do so in over 50 years.

The defeat comes off the heels of a 3-2, 10-inning loss Monday night when Red Sox batters struck out 16 times against Philly ace Zack Wheeler and a quartet of relievers. Yeah, it's been a lot tougher for the Boston bats against competition that isn't the Nationals or Rockies.

In a May 21 game against the Mets, Hendricks got the loss after he allowed three earned runs in two-thirds of an inning. Hendriks, who beat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2023, received “horrible and cruel” threats after the game that he said were also targeted at his wife.
