When LeBron James broke another NBA record earlier this month, the one for most regular-season minutes played in a career, his Los Angeles Lakers teammates handled the moment in typical locker room fashion.

Now in the 22nd season of his NBA career, James has once again surpassed all measures of playing well at his age. Speaking of his age, LBJ just turned 40 years old as he remains the oldest player in the league right now.

It’s not the same dynamic that James currently faces, because he still is playing at an All-Star caliber level. That puts the onus on James to continue managing his body so that he’s both available and remains one of the NBA’s best players. That also puts the pressure on the Lakers to surround James with a championship-caliber roster.
