India’s response to the Pahalgam attack was swift, strategic and unyielding. Operation Sindoor combined surgical military strikes with bold diplomatic and economic measures, sending an unmistakable message: terrorism will not be tolerated.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday (10 May) said that Pakistan reached out to India, and the two countries negotiated and agreed to a ceasefire. This comes after days of military escalation and heightened tensions between the neighbours.

Tensions have risen between the nuclear-armed neighbors since an attack on Hindu tourists in Indian Kashmir last month.
