Vice President JD Vance claimed that the U.S. is working on setting up a three-way meeting between Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after Trump afforded Putin a major win by agreeing to meet him face-to-face in Alaska with no preconditions.

Citing a report from his intelligence and military commands, Zelenskyy said in a statement that Putin "is definitely not preparing for a ceasefire or an end to the war. Putin is determined only to present a meeting with America as his personal victory and then continue acting exactly as before, applying the same pressure on Ukraine as before."

As President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia gets ready to meet with President Trump on Friday in Alaska, Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday that the U.S. is working to set up a meeting that also includes President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.
