Two men are being held in jail and a Westport man is out on bail after being arraigned on underage sex charges Wednesday.

Three men, including a Westport resident, were taken into custody Tuesday following an undercover human trafficking sting in Swansea.

Police said an undercover officer posed as someone under the age of 16 and arranged to meet up with the suspects, who believed they were doing so to have sex with the minor.

Swansea police said Wednesday that three people were arrested in an investigation into human trafficking. Police said David Afriyie, 19, of Pawtucket; Joseph Wood, 38, of Hanson; and Manuel Costa, 39, of Westport, face charges of enticing a child under 16, sexual conduct for a fee with a child under 18, and attempted rape of a child.

A Westport man was among three men arrested Tuesday in connection with a human trafficking operation after allegedly seeking to pay for sex with a minor.
