Dutch rider Thymen Arensman has launched a daring solo attack on a long final climb before holding on grimly to win the 19th stage of the Tour de France.

Thymen Arensman won the shortened final mountain route of the 2025 Tour de France, and Tadej Pogacar still controls the yellow jersey after Stage 19.

Thymen Arensman clinched his second mountaintop win of Tour de France 2024 by narrowly beating Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard on Stage 19 at La Plagne. The shortened Alpine stage saw dramatic attacks and major GC shake-ups ahead of the penultimate stage.
