President Donald Trump has issued an executive order telling the Department of Justice to not enforce a rule that demands TikTok spin off from its Chinese parent company ByteDance or face a ban.

Shortly after taking office Monday, the president issued the order to delay the app’s ban for 75 days. The law went into effect on Sunday.

ByteDance now has to show that it’s making significant progress on a deal to sell TikTok to a US-based company.
