A federal judge who blocked the Trump administration from dismantling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has ruled that the agency can’t go forward immediately with plans to mass fire hundreds of employees.

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson issued another injunction Friday barring the agency from carrying out plans to lay off most of its workers.

A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to temporarily halt mass layoffs at the Consumer Financial Protections Bureau after an appeals court had previously narrowed an earlier injunction.
